Black August is the monthlong annual event to honor the lives and deaths of Black political prisoners killed. Understand how military, Jim Crow era, and Civil Rights movement arrests led to the creation of the celebration.

We will learn about the stories of the wrongfully imprisoned and those that resisted unjust laws. Join the conversation on how their stories led to progress for Black people.

The System: Reading the Fine Print - Sun., Aug. 25 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm
